     2014-02-27   Xbase++ 2.0 CTP4 available for download

The first CTP4 drop has just gone online. With this drop, touch-support for your existing Xbase++ application becomes reality without any code changes. Using touch gestures for panning through your data now is a standard feature of XbpBrowse and XbpQuickBrowse objects. Full-featured multi-touch applications supporting pan, rotate, zoom or tap gestures can be created using new events supported by all Xbase Parts.

In addition, various fixes for the PostgreSQL support as well as the new LayoutManager are included in this drop. With just a few lines of code, existing forms/dialogs become resizable.

Finally, Web application developers can now debug <CXP/> pages like any other application type in the Xbase++ Workbench Debugger. A more detailed list of the new features and changes included in this build can be found in the help file.

In order to download Xbase++ 2.0 CTP4, please log into your customer account and go to Downloads->Community Previews. Of course, only customers with an active subscription and customers which have purchased Xbase++ in the last 12 months are eligible to participate in CTPs.

     2013-11-07   Frankfurter Xbase++ Tracks 2013 - conference agenda

The German Xbase++ Tracks 2013 are going to be held shortly, from the 14th to the 16th of November. And we're quickly running out of space! Even so the Frankfurter Xbase++ Tracks 2013 are a German-speaking conference, we thought it makes sense to publish the conference summary:

Thursday, Nov. 14th, is all about working with Xbase++. Although this day's presentations deal with subjects related to Xbase++ 1.9 as well as 2.0, the main focus is on working with tables/indexes and databases.

The presentations dealing with SQL are designed for experienced ISAM/navigation-oriented developers looking to familiarize themselves with using SQL in their existing applications. The main goals here are to achieve better performance and readability of the source code. The second presentation on SQL illustrates how the technology may be utilized in alternative scenarios, that is, beyond just DBF tables and databases. More specifically, common programming tasks normally involving arrays or FOR/WHILE loops are being solved using Universal SQL, in a manner that is more elegant and even faster!

Friday, Nov. 15th, the sessions mostly deal with web and mobile application development. But don't let yourself be fooled by the subject: the presentations X-HTML and X-DESK will change your view on how HTML and CSS apply to your applications! And that is because with Xbase++ 2.0, HTML/CSS-based content can be displayed independent of a web browser. This means that the visual appearance of an Xbase Part can be defined using HTML and CSS, allowing you to employ the same knowledge as for the design of your website - and vice versa! This opens up a whole lot of new possibilities, and provides you with functionlity going far beyond what is currently available with the owner-drawing feature.

Saturday, Nov. 16th, is about providing you with vital information regarding the future of Xbase++, and about possible ways to make your development process more effective.

More details about the conference, sessions and speakers can be found here. Of course, this is German language only - but a nice showcase for a dynamic website using the Xbase++ <CXP/> platform.

     2013-10-09   Xbase++ 2.0 CTP3R4 available for download!

With this fourth refresh of CTP3, we officially finish our work on the PostgreSQL ISAM-support in terms of featureset, reliability and performance. Upsize your existing dbf/ntx/cdx applications, add new features such as full-text search or use SQL statements for performing queries on the data upsized. This is what CTP3 is all about. The development team is already working on the first CTP4 drop, which we plan to release after the Southwest Xbase++ and FX Tracks 2013 conferences taking place in October and November.

In order to download the Xbase++ 2.0 CTP3R4 build, please log into your customer account and go to Downloads->Community Previews. Of course, only customers with an active subscription and customers which have purchased Xbase++ in the last 12 months are eligible to participate in CTPs.

    2013-09-10   Frankfurter Xbase++ Tracks 2013

As already announced last year, the Xbase++ Tracks 2013 are going to be held from November 14th - 16th 2013 in Frankfurt, Germany. Three days packed with sessions will give you the opportunity to learn a lot about working with Xbase++.

A detailed conference schedule will be made available during the next weeks. But so much in advance: each day will be dealing with a dedicated subject!

  • Software development with Xbase++
  • Web and mobile application development with Xbase++
  • Becoming more productive with Xbase++ - today and tomorrow!

All sessions will be held in German only! We'd like to invite all non-German-speaking Xbase++ developers to join us at the Southwest Xbase++ Conference, taking place on October 17th to 20th, 2013 in Arizona, USA.

Further details about the conference program and the registration process will be announced shortly.

     2013-07-12   Xbase++ 2.0 CTP3R2 is available for download!

The second refresh of Xbase++ 2.0 CTP3 has just gone online. The major changes of this community technology preview are related to Upsizing of dbf/ntx/cdx-based Xbase++ applications to the PostgreSQL server, and the usability and reliability of the Xbase++ Workbench. In fact, 442 work items have been resolved since CTP3R1.

Specifically, the visual debug feature of the Xbase++ Workbench has been increased dramatically in performance and usability. In addition, we did a major rework of the way Xbase++ manages projects. Multi-target and multi-directory projects are now handled much more efficiently, which is crucial for any larger Xbase++ project.

We would like to encourage all CTP participants to have a look into the readme prior to installing the CTP! The file contains a lot of important information, especially concerning side-by-side installation of this CTP with an existing 1.9SL1 installation.

In order to download the Xbase++ CTP3 build, please log into your customer account and go to Downloads->Community Previews. Of course, only customers with an active subscription and customers which have purchased Xbase++ in the last 12 months are eligible to participate in CTPs.

Finally, please keep in mind that CTP-related questions and/or issues are to be posted in the dedicated news group preview.xbase++.20 on our news server news.alaska-software.com

     2012-11-30   Xbase++ 2.0: next steps

Right now, the development team at Alaska Software is working hard to ensure that the next community technology preview (CTP3) is available for download before Christmas. This means that with the start of the new year, we will begin the final run towards the release of Xbase++ 2.0. We want to move forward with an agressive refresh schedule, like we did with the CXP CTPs. According to our current plans, there will be no CTP4. Instead, we intend the release candidate of Xbase++ 2.0 to be ready around Q1/Q2 2013.

The following is a list of the most outstanding features included in CTP3.

  • Universal SQL support: SQL for PostgreSQL, Advantage Database Server, dbf tables, objects and arrays.
  • PostgreSQL ISAM upsizing support: existing dbf/ntx/cdx-based applications become PostgreSQL client/server solutions with only a few code changes.
  • Object prototyping and DataObjects as the new way to transport your data between the application layers.
  • WebSocketHandler and WebHandler: create a websocket server with only a few lines of code, push data in real time between workstations or to the browser.
  • WebUI for windows: create views with HTML and CSS for your Win32 desktop applications.
  • CXP build and execution infrastructure: create web or connected mobile applications.
  • Xbase++ Workench, formerly known as Visual Xbase++ IDE.
  • New data model for the sample collection. Available as dbf tables, Visual FoxPro database, Advantage Database Server dictionary, PostgreSQL database and SQLite database.

While previous CTPs had been made available for download to everybody, the CTP3 and the release candidate will be made available only to active subscription customers and customers which have purchased Xbase++ in the last 12 months.

     2012-04-03   CTP1 Refresh 4 Build 2.0.422 available for download

Refresh 4 of the Xbase++ 2.0 <CXP/> CTP1 has just gone online. This fourth refresh delivers new features and enhancements, including support for using layouts, sections and pagelets. In addition, various fixes, new samples, refactored classes and further additions to the documentation of the <CXP/> execution infrastructure are included in this release.

Last but not least, this CTP comes with a version of the Visual Xbase++ IDE that has been enhanced for <CXP/> development. Please consult the "Changes" section in the documentation to learn more about the changes made for this CTP. Also consult the README included in the zip file for last minute changes.

This release concludes CTP1 with its <CXP/>-related featureset of Xbase++ 2.0. Beginning with the next CTP, the focus will be put on the Arctica/SQL-specific features. Development is right now in the process of merging the <CXP/> and Arctica feature branches of the code repository of Xbase++ 2.0.

Packages available: This release is provided as a zip file containing two installation packages. Choose cxpctp1_iis7.msi to install the <CXP/> technology for the IIS7 web server, or choose the installation package cxpctp1_apache.msi if you are using a Apache 2.2 web server.

     2012-03-01   Xbase++ 2.0 at 4th European Xbase++ conference

Should I attend the 4th European Xbase++ conference? When will Xbase 2.0 become available? When can I begin migrating my application to SQL? These are typical questions from the Xbase++ community. Although it's a policy at Alaska Software to not publish specific release dates, nonetheless we would like to take the opportunity to address those questions.

When can I begin using Arctica/SQL?
Many of the Xbase++ developers asking themselves this question are looking for a quick and easy transition to SQL, be it due to customer demand, the need for better performance or just the desire to follow the current "mainstream". Xbase++ and Arctica will make available a host of SQL-related technologies, which will ease the transition to and the usage of SQL. However, in addition to the obvious topics involved (new SQL command, etc.), there is a number of additional factors that must be taken into account during the transition. To what extend will application performance be affected? What will my backup procedure look like? How will my application be installed and what kind of infrastructural demands will I be facing when using a PostgreSQL server? All of these questions will be answered at the 4th European Xbase++ conference. A database workshop will specifically address the issue of which data access and data management concepts should be used under which conditions.

When will Xbase++ become available?
Individual technologies of the Xbase++ 2.0 product will be made available as part of a community technology preview (CPT). The next CTP refresh will be the last to deal with the <CXP/> technology. New features, such as layout management, pagelets, additional examples for file upload and mobile order reservation are just a few of the topics covered. Next in line is the CMD CTP, which will include the new SQL commands as well as the commands borrowed from Visual FoxPro, such as SCAN/ENDSCAN. The MIG CTP, which will follow afterwards, will put the focus on transforming your DBF/NTX/CDX-based application into a PostgreSQL-based one. Finally, the last preview will address topics such as SQL in conjunction with DBF tables, virtual (in-memory) tables and mobile databases with SQLite.
Towards Xbase++ 2.0

There still is quite some work ahead of us. For you as an Xbase++ developer, the goal should be to keep yourself informed about all of these subjects. For this reason, you should attend the 4th European Xbase++ conference, because this is where you will get a comprehensive introduction into these various subjects and technologies.

Important: The primary language of the Hannover conference will be German! Some sessions will be held twice (German and English). For more details see the session plan here.

Finally, there will be a US conference this year - more details will be announced in due course.

The latter is achieved with new commands and datatypes which not only increase Visual FoxPro compatibility, but also boost Xbase++ developers' productivity.

<CXP/> is the first Community Technology Preview (CTP) in the context of our efforts towards Xbase++ 2.0. This technology allows all Xbase++ and Visual FoxPro developers to effectively utilize their existing experience and knowledge for writing modern Web and Connected Mobile applications for iPhone, iPad, Android and other platforms.

Xbase++ 2.0 Revised Roadmap

This Community Technology Preview (CTP) starts on Nov. 10th, 2011, and concentrates solely on the <CXP:Technology/>, the new build and execution infrastructure for Web and Connected Mobile application development and hosting. More details and download instructions will be announced on Nov. 10th, 2011.

Of course, there is much more coming in Xbase++ 2.0 and the forthcoming CTPs! It is therefore a good idea to sign up now for the 4th European Xbase++ DevCon. Furthermore, you can even save some money profiting from the early-bird discount. The conference takes place in the Hannover area in April 2012. Be there and you will get for sure the best jump start into the featureset of Xbase++ 2.0, which touches on topics ranging from using the latest SQL technologies to Web and Connected Mobile application development.

     2011-09-09   Check-out the DevCon-Schedules!

Just like in the last couple of years, Alaska Software will participate in various developer conferences, starting to this fall. However, one thing is different to the last years.

We haven't provided any details about the concrete session content yet! Wondering why? Well, with respect to the current uncertainty in the Windows ecosystem with major vendors such as Telerik*) preparing for a HTML5/JS UI and DevExpress*), putting their WPF/Sliverlight efforts on hold we know there will be a major shift ahead of us.

Nevertheless, rest assured! Alaska Software is prepared to deliver value to its customers fitting into the world of tomorrow. More details about the specific session content will be released as soon as possible. This is true for the forthcoming Polarfox related sessions in Oct. and Nov. at the VFP-Conferences in Phoenix/Arizona and Frankfurt, as well as those sessions to be held at the 4th European Xbase++ DevCon, which will take place in the Hannover Area in April 2012.

So, check out all the web-sites , and get registered today!

*) Telerik and DevExpress are one of the major component and framework vendors for the Windows platform. Together they serve hundreds of thousands if not millions of mission ciritical application developers worldwide.

Also included is a custom column class (XbpGradientColumn) for displaying numerical values as a percentage value in relation to a given minimum and maximum. As always, all Parts come with full source code and therefore can be used as a building block to develop your own visual components in Xbase++ for Xbase++.

     2010-12-17   Call for feedback!

Alaska Software has investigated into an issue in the SMB2 protocol as used under Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008. This issue can lead to data loss or corruption in files shared in network environments. We have set up a dedicated web page explaining the details. The web page also provides access to an MSI package to configure workstations so that data corruption no longer occurs when using SMB2.

Although Alaska Software has tested this approach in its labs and with some customers, we would like to encourage all of the Xbase++ community to send in as much feedback as possible related to this subject matter! Specifically, we are eager to know whether the package provided safely resolves the SMB2 problem, and whether it is suitable for usage at your customers' sites.

More details can be found here: www.alaska-software.com/smb2

Please send any feedback or question related to that issue to support@alaska-software.com.
Thank you very much upfront.

     2010-09-09  Roadshow & Arctica update!

Alaska Software announces the reschedule of the 2010 Roadshow to the next year. We have made that difficult decision since we have not been able to meet our own deadlines with the Arctica project. Due to the nature of the project, many issues could only be identified at a later stage of the development progress. Also, with the Arctica technologies we are entering land where noone has gone before...

We would like to ask our customers for a little more patience, but we are convinced that with the technical foundation we are laying with Arctica, any Xbase++ developer can save a tremendous amount of money and time in the future while preserving existing investments.

Customers with an active subscription can join the arctica newsgroup, which is monitored by Alaska Software as of today. Customers are invited to ask any kind of Arctica-related questions. This newsgroup will also be used as the platform for the Arctica preview. Just use your customer account login credentials for your newsreader, or login at news.alaska-software.com.

     2008-03-20  Attention: Hardware and Software upgrades are on their way!

Our application servers are going to be replaced by a couple of Quad-Core Xeon boxes. Hence, some of our online and web-application services may be disrupted over the easter weekend.

Simultanously we would like to announce the rollout of a new web-application and inhouse solution infrastructure. All applications are developed using Xbase++ only: Web-applications are based upon the latest internal alpha build #402, rich client graphical user interface applications are deployed with the current validation level of Xbase++ 1.9 Service Level #1.

All active Subscription customers can try out the Login feature on our homepage to setup their initial online account. As an immediate benefit, new Hotfix Rollups are available for download to all eligible users.

Bear in mind, this rollout of these new solutions and technologies will be done in a step-by-step manner, accompanied by various technology previews available for active subscription customers.

Should there be any disruption of our services we apologize upfront.

     2008-03-19  Informal update regarding Xbase++ 1.9 Service Level #1

As we all know, the numerous technical problems of the Vista platform have confronted many software and hardware vendors with an array of unexcpected issues. Now this may soon come to an end: On March 18th, 2008 the ServicePack #1 for Windows Vista has been "officially" made available.

Alaska Software has been waiting for this step for months as many corrections and feature enhancements applied to the Xbase++ 1.9 platform are to be tested against Vista SP1. Unfortunately, testing in the past against various pre-release versions available has always led to different results, forcing us to continue awaiting the availability of Vista SP1 and Windows Server 2008.

Actually both platforms Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008 introduced massive and fundamental changes in almost all technical areas of the operating system. Scenarios such as Single User-Desktop applications with and without the Aero user interface, network-based multi-user applications with and without Opportunistic Locking and the new SMB2 file/print sharing protocol had to be validated. In addition, careful testing and verification of Terminal Server and/or Remote Application-deployments were carried.

Currently, final validation is on its way; after its completion a first wave of Hotfix-Rollups will be released to provide a dedicated update/resolution path for specific issues. After that a preview of the Service Level #1 for Xbase++ will be made available to our active Subscription customers. And shortly thereafter, the final version of the Service Level #1 for Xbase++ will be released.

     2006-11-24   New Product-Maintenance-Policy endorsed

In the aftermath of the Xbase++ 1.9 release, and in order to serve better our customer base and respond more adequately to individual customer demands, we would like to present Alaska Software’s newly elaborated Product-Maintenance-Policy stipulations.

We are convinced that delivering a great product can always be only one side of the coin; the other side ought to be the services and support completing the product. Hence, to cut down time-to-market for critical fixes and to provide all Xbase++ developers a continuous stream of hotfixes and/or new features, it was indispensable to have a New Product-Maintenance-Policy worded out and put into practice.

Therefore, we encourage every Xbase++ customer to carefully read through the Product-Maintenance-Policy documentation, which explains in great detail the definitions of Hotfixes, Hotfix-Rollups, Service Levels, and how they will be handled going forward.

Should you have questions, or you would like to voice your opinion and/or give us constructive feedback related to these new stipulations; in any case, we look forward to receiving your emails.

     2006-09-06   Autumn is here, and so is the development group!

Refreshed, recreated and inspired from a positive US-DevCon, a successful release of Xbase++ 1.9 and the extremely high temperatures which were persistent all over Europe. Having resumed their normal schedule, the development team is in the midst of re-grouping, focusing and setting up new priorities.

Meanwhile, if you are still working with Xbase++ 1.82 or even an older version of Xbase++, you really should take a minute or two to glean over the features included in Xbase++ 1.9, ensuring you are up-to-date on the latest possibilites with Xbase++.

So, what has been proclaimed by our customers about this release yet?

  • "Xbase++ 1.9 should be relabeled to 2.0, this is truely an amazing, solid release!"

  • "Thank you so much for the good and productive cooperation! We really look forward to laying hands on the final release of Xbase++ 1.9, so that we can get started using it in our productive and operational environment."

  • "Also I would like to congratulate Alaska for the way that it is treating the customers. With certainty now we will go to invest in Xbase++."

  • "By the way, we are impressed with 320. The list of PDRs fixed is enormous. PDR 4970, on which we had almost given up hope, is fixed. And on top of that, we get quick response from the Alaska beta team."

  • "For the rest I find the software Xbase++ fabulous, stupendous, powerful. I don't know what to say more, it's beautiful!!! Makes me dream!!! It is almost stable in everything and for everything."

  • "The improvements in beta 1.9 are considerable compared to 1.82 - the Alaska team are performing a great job as far as I can see. In my view 1.9 RC is already the best Xbase++ on the market. Is Alaska Software driving the degree of perfection too far?"

  • "I am quite happy with it and with all the new features that are availble with 1.90, especially ActiveX. So far I have not yet got any reports of problems other than the ones we made ourselves. So I would reccomend anybody to move over to this version."

     2006-05-10   Release status of Xbase++ 1.9

During the development process of Xbase++ 1.9, more than 500 features of the product have been improved. You will see that being reflected in more than 200 changes applied to the documentation in terms of new features and/or feature-set enhancements.

Actually, we closed more than 200 PDRs and an array of these changes will prove to be of the benefit to all of you. The value added by Alaska Software to the new release, is estimated to amount to about 6 man-years of hard development work.

Having said this, the bad news is that we are again behind our latest projection in terms of availability. The good news is that the master- build 1.90.331 is already being tested and validated. The Basic User Guides which comprises of about 350 pages has been released for production.

The contents of the Subscriptions is ready, so that the packaging process can be triggered. All this is a tedious and time-consuming labor; however, we should be able to have it completed by the end of this week.

Since the packaging process is the last step before CD-ROM production starts, the software packages will be readily available for download, ie. for the ESD (electronic-software-delivery), in the week before the US DevCon 2006 starts.

Looking forward to meeting you at the forthcoming Xbase++ US DevCon 2006 and/or at the European Advantage Conference in Frankfurt.

     2006-04-13  Forthcoming Xbase++ 1.9 release progress report

On April 4th, Alaska Software has made available Xbase++ 1.90.330 final to its Technology Partners and a selected group of 15 companies. The goal of build 1.90.330 is to field test changes made to the new ActiveX/.NET interoperability features.

With RC2, we learned that many of the existing ActiveX components available on the Windows 32-Bit market do not integrate well with multi-threaded host applications, such as those created with Xbase++. Thread interoperability is not a big issue with other Windows development tools - they simply do not provide that feature right out of the box. However, with Xbase++ development of multi-threaded applications is a snap, and it is being done by almost everybody. Using such ActiveX components within a multi-threaded application sometimes led to a completely non-deterministic behaviour. This is simply unacceptable. As a consequence, the development team decided to add additional thread synchronisation to the ActiveX/.NET interoperability layer.

The product team is currently working on the packaging of the various product CDs. According to our current schedule, mastering of Xbase++ 1.90 starts on April 18th and will last approximately 5-10 days, followed by general product availability via ESD download.

Shipment of free 1.82 replacement products and Subscription Volumes to existing customers may take another 2+ weeks due to production timeframe.

Please also take a note that our offices are closed on the following days:

Good Friday, April 14th, 2006, and
Easter Monday, April 17th, 2006.

Regular office hours for both locations will resume on Tuesday, April 18h, 2006.

     2006-02-23  Xbase++ 1.9 RC-1 Timebomb - DevCon 2006

Since the first release of Xbase++ 1.90 RC-2 (release candidate #2) in December/January, Alaska Software has released several refreshes of RC-2 to dedicated beta testers. These intermediate revisions addressed issues found in the initial RC-2 build. Currently, the development team at Alaska Software is working on the Xbase++ 1.9 final build, which should be available in the next 30 days.

Alaska Software also wants to draw your attention to the fact that by the end of this month, Xbase++ 1.90.322 (release candidate #1) will stop working due to an internal timebomb mechanism. In the event that you already have distributed RC-1 to your customers, it is therefore important to update these RC-1 installation as soon as possible. Registered customers can request a timebomb-free version of RC-1 from Alaska Software by simply sending an email to beta@alaska-software.com. Please be sure to include your customer number.

Finally, we would like to point out to you, again, the Xbase++ Developers Conference being held in May. If you are interested in the new features of Xbase++ 1.9, or just need a jump-start into the new worlds of ActiveX, backoffice integration and .NET component usage, then this DevCon is a must to attend! Even if you are planning a new application or an upgrade of an existing one, the DevCon will be especially worthwhile for you to attend. Because a special focus is put on Microsoft's forthcoming technologies such as Windows Vista and .NET, attending the DevCon will provide you with valuable hands-on and background knowledge for competing in the IT market.

More information can be found here, and at the conference website.

     2006-01-26   newsgroups @ news.alaska-software.com

Maintenance work has been completed and the new server system has been doing its job for more than a week now. Customers who have not yet re-configured their news-reader should do so right away.

The refined list of newsgroups, plus a short description of them, can be found here. By default, anonymous users will only have read-only access! To post a message, you will have to configure your news-reader to log on to the news server using the username "guest" and the password "guest". Once you have enabled authentication, you will be authorized to post messages to the newsgroups. Authenticating users is by far the most effective way to avoid spam.

We apologize for any inconvenience that arose from the news server transition.

Enjoy the spam-free newsgroups!

     2006-01-13   News Server upgrade!

Due to the constantly growing traffic on our news server (news.alaska-software.com), a larger dedicated server system will be set up over this weekend, i.e. Jan. 14- 15, 2006. The new server system will add new features, such as automated spam filtering and a new web-frontend, to name just the most important changes.

In order to make the transition, all newsgroups will become read-only beginning on Saturday, Jan. 14th, 2006, until the new server system is up and running for good.

We apologize for this inconvenience.

On the network side, we added Samba to the supported file server systems.     2005-06-14   Xbase++ 1.9 at final approach!

Currently Alaska Software is working on the final beta drop of Xbase++ 1.90.

Initially we envisaged for the Xbase++ 1.90 release merely new features, such as ActiveX and enhancements related to the database engines. However, as it turns out now version 1.90 of Xbase++ is truly going to be a milestone in its history!

"At the outset we planned to devote a total of 6 months to Xbase++ 1.90. Up until now, we have more than 10 months invested into the upcoming release", so Mr. Steffen F. Pirsig, Project Lead at Alaska Software. Furthermore he explains that " the code base is feature set complete since May 28th, hence the code is frozen since then. Now, documentation reviews, proofreading and final fixes are our top priority tasks. Along the way we have added additional features, such as NULL/NIL value support for the database layers of Xbase++. We have re-implemented parts of the OOP model of Xbase++ supplying adequate NoIVar and NoMethod support. Furthermore, we also have overhauled portions of the Xbase++ runtime kernel to strengthen its robustness."

An updated and complete list of Xbase++ 1.90 features can be found here.

General availability of Xbase++ 1.90 is anticipated for the third quarter 2005. Alaska Software likes to express its sincerest apologies for the delay! By the same token, we are confident that most of you consent to not only release a few new features, but also to have moved forward with respect to the product's underlying foundations. Each professional Xbase++ developer will definitively notice the difference once working with Xbase++ 1.90.

Moreover, we like to remind you that customer's who will purchase Xbase++ 1.82 today, will automatically obtain Version 1.90 free of charge. This way you would be receiving two versions of Xbase++ for the price of one! If you wish to renew your Subscription package, your subscription period will starts with the delivery of Xbase++ 1.90.
