Open Build: Open Date: Language:
1.00.105 28.06.1995 (All)
Closed Build: Close Date: Platform:
1.90.320 27.06.2005 ALL
State: Reference PDR ID: Hotfix Rollup No.:
CLOSED
Symptom:
Zero Division by Zero wrong error message
Description:
Xbase++ generates a division by zero if the
divident is != zero and the divisor = zero. However
if the divident and the divisor are both zero the
Xbase++ runtime generates a unknow floating point error
exception.

Clipper raises in both cases a division by zero error.

While the behaviour of Xbase++ is excatly such the mathematic
unit of the CPU handles that type of situations the Xbase++
behaviour is not compatible to Clipper and therefore is
classified as a defect.
