Example: search for PDR ID 109-9999 , just enter 9999 into the entry field and press ENTER.

Symptom:
Wrong errormessage when assigning numeric value to char fld.
Description: 
When assigning a numeric value to a field of type "C", a wrong
   error message is fired.

   Build 178 displays "Operating system error", build 205 displays
   "Length of database field was exceeded."

   The correct error message would be "Invalid datatype for database
   field."


   When using the DBFDBE, build 178 displays the correct error
   message, but on build 205 the wrong message "Length of database
   field was exceeded" is displayed.
Solution: 
No Workaround for this problem known!
