Symptom:
Assigns to strings via []-operator slower than expected
Description: 
If the []-operator is used on strings like
local c := "HALLO"
  c[1] := "X"
in a loop the operation takes as long as using
the function equivalent Stuff() .
Since the read-operation
  x := c[1]
is about 4 times faster than the functional
equivalent Substr() the write operation should
also have this optimization.
Solution: 
Problem has been solved. Download the fix here. This issue does not exist
in future versions.
